
Dr. Marcotte specializes in maternal-fetal medicine. He is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology and Maternal-Fetal Medicine. Dr. Marcotte is currently a staff physician in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine at Good Samaritan Hospital and Bethesda North Hospital. In addition, he is the Director of Quality for Maternity Services at TriHealth. He is working with a multidisciplinary team to improve the quality, safety and patient satisfaction at Bethesda North and Good Samaritan Hospitals. He is working on the community-wide project to reduce infant mortality.
Dr. Marcotte earned his medical degree from the Medical College of Ohio in Toledo in 1991. He also performed his internship, residency and fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at the Medical College of Ohio in Toledo.
He is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and is also a member of the Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine, the American Medical Association and the Cincinnati Academy of Medicine.
Dr. Marcotte’s medical interests include perinatal counseling for women when their fetus has an unexpected prenatal condition or birth defect. He is also interested in care for pregnant women with HIV, Diabetes and other medical conditions. Dr. Marcotte is a graduate in the End of Life Counselor Training program in San Francisco through the Metta Institute associated with the Zen Hospice Project in San Francisco where he developed skills to care for people and their families at the end of life.
He is married to Mary Clare Rietz and has one daughter Francesca. They enjoy camping, hiking, rock climbing, biking, running and most outdoor activities. They also enjoy cooking and entertaining in their home. |
