During my first pregnancy, I was continually asked the common question of “Where are you delivering?” Not being from the area, naturally delivered my first two children at the hospital closest to my house. While, I got great care, I repeatedly heard from multiple people how great the care was at Good Sam. So, when I found out I was pregnant with twins and diagnosed with Twin to Twin Transfusion Syndrome (TTTS), I was not surprised when I was transferred to Tri State Maternal Fetal Medicine, as well as, the Fetal Care Center at Good Samaritan. I had wondered what could have possibly been so much better there than elsewhere. Well, I found out rather quickly!
Within my first 24 hrs. the physicians had taken multiple proactive steps toward helping my babies survive TTTS. What touched me most was the manner in which I was treated. Each physician made me feel as though I was their biggest priority. They took the time to explain all possible scenarios I could be facing, in addition to, answering every question I had along the way. They were also very cautious to allow my husband and I to make final decisions that were right for us, based on all of the knowledge and suggestions they had provided.
My husband and I decided to proceed with the laser surgery in order to correct the Twin to Twin Transfusion. The surgeons from the Fetal Care Center, did a phenomenal job in cauterizing 39 vessels in all! I then at 28 weeks delivered two petite but healthy baby girls via C-section. I attribute the health of my babies to the incredible knowledge and expertise of the doctors at Tri-State Maternal Fetal Medicine and the Fetal Care Center. I particularly, want to acknowledge Dr. Lambers and Dr. Habli for providing such a compassionate and caring bedside manner throughout the entire ordeal, which helped us keep a positive, healthy attitude. After 8 long weeks in the NICU, our babies (Lexi and Liza) came home to bless us and their big sisters and now weigh a whopping 6 lbs. 10 oz and 6 lbs. 12 oz.!
Thanks so much for all of your care and concern. We will never be able to thank you enough for this gift you have given us!
Sincerely,
Cathy Andros and family
Dear Dr. Polzin and staff,
In October my husband and I were told news of our pregnancy that no parent ever wants to hear. Our twins had TTTS and our Doctor here in MI basically said there wasn't a good chance they would survive. We were also told that our donor twin didn't have a nasal bone and could have Down's syndrome. After feeling like our world was collapsing we were given hope after hearing about the laser surgery in Cincinnati. It didn't take us long to know what we had to do to save our girls. When we met you and your staff we immediately felt like there was hope and knew we were in good hands. The people at Good Samaritan and Cincinnati Children's were the warmest and most caring people we have ever met.
Today at four and a half month old the girls are doing great and smiling all the time. Our two year old daughter, Ava, loves her sisters and is a great help. We are so happy to have our girls with us here today and want to thank all of you for making that possible. You and your staff were instrumental during our pregnancy and have contributed to the survival of our twins.
Thank you again for everything you did for us and your commitment in saving the smallest of lives. You are miracle workers and we will forever be grateful.
Take Care,
Meg A. and family
Dr. Lambers,
Just wanted to thank you for the safe and exciting delivery of my babies. You are so great at what you do - definitely made me feel comfortable with all my questions answered. Babies are doing great and I am too!
Thanks again,
Mindy L.

Dr. Lambers,
Thank you so much for all the wonderful and expert care you provided us with Arabella’s birth! We always know we are in good hands with you. You don’t know what a relief it was when the versian worked and we avoided a c-section. Hopefully we will see you again in the spring. Thanks again for providing us with our two beautiful perfect babies!
Scott, Elizabeth, Elijah and Arabella
To all the wonderful Staff at TSMFM,
From the bottom of our hearts thank you for all of the wonderful care we received during pregnancy and delivery. The personal care made all the difference and we will all be forever grateful. Susan and Erica at the front desk were always wonderful and kind, the nurses were so compassionate and Nancy helped me so much during a scary ordeal. I was so glad Dr. Hinton was on call when I went into labor!
Yours truly,
Shannon (and Kameron too!)
Dear Physicians and Office Staff,
As my delivery of the triplets quickly approach, I just wanted to thank you for the amazing care I’ve received at your office. You are each so kind and have made this pregnancy so special! I will be forever grateful for your expertise and will highly recommend your practice to anyone experiencing a high risk pregnancy. Thank you for all you’ve said and done.
Many blessing to you!

Dear Dr. Voss,
Here I am! Six months already!
Mom and Dad think I’m about as perfect as one can get - except for the ear piercing screeches I let out just because I can. I keep busy with my daycare friends, trying new foods, and going lots of places with my Mom and Dad. I’ve even been on a plane and had a great time! Thank you for saving my life and thank you for taking such good care of my mom and me. Thanks to all the doctors and staff who did such a great job.
Love,
Jessie Isabella
Dr. Brady,
Where do we begin with thanking you for all you have done for us during our pregnancy? You made it possible for us to make it 37 weeks with triplets - giving our babies the best chance possible. They are all doing well - our baby boy with CDH came home after a six week stay at Childrens - he is doing terrific! We appreciate your knowledge, your passion for your job, your attention to details, the level of care you gave us and most importantly - your sense of humor! In such an overwhelming, scary and stressful time, you were able to put our minds at ease. From the day we consulted with you at Bethesda North about a reduction that was suggested by our fertility doctor (thank God you advised us otherwise) to the last time we saw you in triage at Good Sam, you were amazing every step of the way! We had faith in you and confidence in your care and both were outstanding! We were so blessed to have you as our doctor. Thank you SO much! My husband said you did a great job in the 4th round draft pick - he too is a Bengals fanatic! Who Dey!
And thank you so very much for the beautiful bootie keepsakes with our babies names, birth weights and lengths on them! What a wonderful surprise!
Thanks,
The Jay’s
